Storer Lumber has been owned and run by five generations of Storer men. It was founded in 1895 by Levitt Storer, a prosperous shipbuilder known for building the Governor Ames, the first five -masted schooner. He began by selling building materials and coal.
Today Alfred, Levitt’s son, and his son, Jonathan, continue to run the family business. They added a saw mill to their operations in 1996, and now offer custom sawn beams, planks and boards in native hemlock, pine and hardwood. Five Generations later and in an ever-changing world, the Storer Family operates the business with old fashion service and values that you don’t receive at a box store. Visit Storer Lumber today for all of your building material, hardware, masonry, coal and rough lumber needs.
