Grayson Rustic Ashlar thin veneer limestone installed as home exterior siding and porch columns on a modern farmhouse

Grayson Limestone Veneer

Say hello to Grayson — a warm, natural limestone in creams, beiges, and soft grays that looks right at home on modern farmhouse, craftsman, and transitional projects. It’s now available in two distinct cuts, so you can keep the same handsome palette and choose the texture and rhythm your design calls for.

One limestone, two looks

Grayson is a natural limestone thin stone veneer with a matte, low-mica surface — no manufactured sparkle — and enough natural color variation that no two installations look exactly alike. The difference between the two products comes down to the cut: one is a blockier, more traditional ashlar; the other is a clean, horizontal ledgestone. Same stone, two very different moods.

Grayson Rustic Ashlar

Grayson Rustic Ashlar is a medium-sized ashlar with a mix of rectangular and rubble pieces. That blend gives a wall a relaxed, handcrafted character that uniform, manufactured products can’t quite copy. It’s a natural fit for exterior siding, entryways, and fireplaces that want a little more weight and traditional texture.

Grayson Stacked Stone

Grayson Stacked Stone is a small-to-medium ledgestone with clean, horizontal lines. The look is calmer and more linear — a great match for accent walls, columns, and contemporary exteriors where you want texture without a lot of visual noise.

How to choose between them

  • Choose Rustic Ashlar for a more traditional, substantial look with varied block sizes.
  • Choose Stacked Stone for clean horizontal lines and a more modern, streamlined feel.

Naturally made, built to last

Both cuts are natural limestone thin veneer, made in the USA. As a thin veneer, Grayson is installed by masons following Stoneyard’s proven methods — see our installation guides for surface preparation, adhering, and pointing. Stoneyard has supplied natural stone veneer since 1985.
