A Family Legacy

Our Story

Stoneyard® was founded in 1986 by brothers John and David Croteau alongside their father, Jerry Croteau Sr., in Groton, Massachusetts. What began as a small family stone business has grown into a trusted national brand.

In 1997, the company relocated to Littleton, MA to support continued growth. Gerald Croteau Jr. joined the business in 2001, bringing innovation and leadership to further expand the company’s reach.

Today, Stoneyard® stone veneer is sold nationwide, with Boston Blend® as our signature product—crafted from New England fieldstone and celebrated for its natural beauty and durability. Boston Blend® is the go-to thin stone veneer for architects, builders, and homeowners seeking authentic, lasting quality.

When you choose Stoneyard, you’re choosing a piece of our family’s legacy—stone with a story, delivered with care.

“As a stone mason myself, I and so many of our employees love natural stone. We work every day to ensure each and every stone we deliver is the highest quality material, all directly from the earth.”

David Croteau, Co-Founder

I enjoy taking a natural product from the earth and using a natural process to turn it into a building material people can use on their homes.”
