Grayson Rustic Ashlar

,

Grayson Rustic Ashlar (rubble stone) is a medium-sized ashlar style limestone thin veneer with natural irregularity. Its palette of creams, beiges, and greys gives it a relaxed, organic character that works beautifully in modern farmhouse, craftsman, and transitional home styles. Typically installed with a mortar joint, it can also be dry-stacked with additional cutting and fitting.

Installation Info

Grayson Rustic Ashlar Thin Veneer brings the natural character of limestone to modern construction. As a rubble stone product, it includes more irregular, rubble pieces alongside the ashlar-cut stones — giving installations a handcrafted, organic feel that uniform ashlar patterns can’t replicate.

The color palette ranges from warm creams and tans to cool grey tones, similar to the limestone found on classic building facades and well-worn stone structures. Its matte, low-mica surface avoids the sparkle of some manufactured products, keeping the look grounded and natural. The color variation means no two installations look exactly the same.

Common applications include:

  • Exterior home siding and accent walls
  • Porch columns and entryways
  • Interior feature walls and fireplaces
  • Foundation wraps

Grayson Rustic Ashlar is typically installed with a mortar joint but may be installed dry-stacked with additional cutting and fitting. As a thin veneer, it installs over most substrates without the structural requirements of full-bed stone, making it a practical choice for both new construction and renovation projects.
