For people that love the look of New England natural fieldstone, Stoneyard Boston Blend® Thin Stone Veneer is the natural recycled environmentally friendly green building material not man-made or faux stone.
Harsh Climate Approved (HCA) Boston Blend® Thin Stone Veneer has been subjected to numerous freeze-thaw cycles and can withstand the harshest hot, cold, or wet climates. Perfect for interior and exterior use in all regions throughout North America including applications at or below grade. Suitable for use near salt water, water features, and in areas where blowing sand is a concern.
Architects, builders and masons use this to create a durable real-stone projects on vertical surfaces. Some of the applications are facades, walls, foundations, chimneys and any other interior or exterior residential or commercial structure.
One color in the blend can become the control color for a more gray or tan blend by including other Stoneyard stone veneer colors.
INSTALLATION
A mock-up is recommended to help in all design decisions including grout color, joint size (dry-laid, standard, or wide), and desired finish.
LEED® CERTIFICATION & ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Whether for a commercial building or historical restoration, this natural building material can assist with the LEED certification. Functionally, stone will retain heat in the winter and cold in the summer, enhancing energy efficiency.
CORNERS
Matching 90˚ corners are available in all colors and shapes. When other angles are needed, the installation options are weaving (alternating flats) or miter cutting flat pieces to wrap the corner.

- Compressive Strength Parallel: 17,307 psi
- Modulus of Rupture Perpendicular: 1,854 psi
- Modulus of Rapture Parallel: 2,692 psi
*Size range specification is the minimum to maximum measurement. Material will include pieces that fall into the acceptable range. Highs and lows can be the either end of the range and may not have a mixture of ALL sizes.
For example, if a length range is from 4 – 12 inches, it is possible to receive all pieces that are 4-5 inch in length and none 7-12.
